JPAT’s mission is to instill rational, inclusive, and evidence-based policy-making into our democracy at the Federal, state, and local levels.

To achieve this, we strive to provide an easy on-ramp to political activism to the secular community of the Denver metro area. The service we provide can be summarized as “find, inform, collaborate, and devise,” with the following details:

  • Find the politically frustrated in the Denver metro area, and help them find each other
  • Inform them about political actions they can take and the techniques of non-violence
  • Collaborate with other, like-minded groups to amplifying each other’s efforts
  • Devise creative opportunities to “fill the gaps” of issues not yet addressed by other groups

Our group is self-organized, non-partisan collection of rational Denver Metro residents. We emphasize effective, non-violent action and steer our group using several foundational texts:

Structurally, JPAT is a working group of the Jefferson Humanists (JH), a Chapter of the American Humanist Association and a 501(c)3 organization.  Details regarding our concept and governance can be found in our “Statement of Purpose.”
